The Regin Family
Established for over a century in Wolxheim, in the heart of Alsace’s wine country, the Regin family embodies a story of passion, heritage, and working the land.
The vine has accompanied the family since the early 20ᵗʰ century, when André’s grandfather was already cultivating a few plots. At that time, it was only one part of a traditional mixed farming system. The real turning point came with Justin, André’s father, who gradually chose to dedicate himself fully to viticulture. In the 1970s, he took a major step by bottling the fruit of his own harvests—a pioneering gesture that marked a profound change in the estate’s history.
André, initially trained as an electro technique, decided in the 1980s to return to his roots and fully commit to the family estate. After the premature passing of his parents, he took over the farm on his own, before being joined by his wife Catherine. Together, they modernized the facilities, expanded the cultivated land, and developed direct sales, giving the estate a new dimension.
In 2021, a new chapter began with the arrival of the third generation. Their son Thomas, along with his partner Estelle, joined the family adventure. Both graduates in oenology, they honed their skills in some of France’s finest wine regions: Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, and of course Alsace.
Estelle oversees every aspect of winemaking, while Thomas devotes the year to cultivating and caring for the vines with deep respect for the terroir and nature. Together, they continue the family legacy with dedication and sensitivity, striving to craft balanced, authentic wines in harmony with their terroir.
